An "off dry" style of Hunter Valley Semillon where the fermentation is stopped prior to completion. The appealing touch of residual sweetness is seamlessly balanced by an impeccable fruit purity and a juicy mouth-watering acidity providing a finish that is crisp, clean and fresh.

This is a deliciously taut style, expressing the six degrees of separation between ethereal texture and nervy tension....

Only 8.6% alcohol

  • In the Vineyard

Relatively early hand-picked fruit of select parcels from the Braemore vineyard.
The Braemore vineyard was planted 1969 and is situated on the sandy alluvial flats of Hermitage Road, Pokolbin, and consistently produces Semillon featuring freshness, vibrancy, and remarkable longevity.

The inspiration for this wine comes from my love of those off-dry Rieslings from the Mosel region in Germany.

  • In the Winery

The delicate juice was cool fermented with the fermentation arrested before completion. This technique has produced a wine containing some natural residual sugar and a correspondingly lower level of alcohol.

The key to this style is achieving the perfect balance between the touch of residual sweetness and the fine line of citrus-like acidity to ensure the wine finishes crisp, clean and fresh.

A deliciously featherweight 'off dry' style of Semillon.

    36 g/L residual sugar

    8.6% ABV

  • Appearance & Aroma

There’s a bright pale lemon green colour and a vibrant nose of fresh citrus, white cherry and lime sherbert

  • Palate & Finish

Six Degrees is immediately moreish with a light and fresh acidity tempering a juicy palate. It’s delicately sweet with notes of lemon lime splice, candied kumquat, lemongrass and lime cordial hints.
The clincher is that it actually finishes dry and long, leaving you wanting more. The balance of acidity and gentle sweetness make for a wonderfully drinkable wine, set for warm days, good times, and spicy foods.
