Halliday Top 100: Two Wines, Two Years Running

Halliday Top 100: Two Wines, Two Years Running

Consistency is something we work hard at here at Thomas Wines. Each vintage brings its own challenges, but the aim stays the same: to make wines that express their individual vineyard sites and deliver quality year after year.

I’m delighted to share two separate honours from the Halliday team this year.

Thomas Wines has once again been named among Halliday’s Top 100 Wineries, a lovely acknowledgement of the work that goes into our wines across the range.

Alongside that, 2024 The Cote Shiraz and 2024 Kiss Shiraz have both been selected in Halliday’s Top 100 Wines, marking the second consecutive year we’ve had two wines on the list.

Our contribution to Australia’s 1.43 million-tonne grape harvest in 2024 was around 150 tonnes, roughly 0.01% of the national crush. We’re a small part of the Australian wine community, so to have two of our wines recognised among the Top 100 again means a great deal to our team.

The Cote is looking excellent this year, and it’s particularly pleasing to see this members-only wine receive recognition. Kiss, meanwhile, has now earned a place in the Top 100 Wines for two consecutive vintages. It’s a wine that means a great deal to us, and seeing that consistency acknowledged is especially rewarding.

Both honours reflect the vineyards we’re fortunate to work with and the care our team puts into every vintage, from the vineyard through to the winery.

A sincere thank you to the Halliday team for this recognition, and for everything they do to champion Australian wine. There are so many exceptional producers across the country, and it’s a privilege to be in their company.

And to our members and everyone who continues to support Thomas Wines: thank you. Being able to share these wines and these moments with you is one of the real pleasures of what we do.

Cheers,
Thommo
