Tractor   From the extremely low cropping, dry grown Motel Block on Hermitage Road, planted 1967
Grapes   Very much in the ‘muscular’ end of the medium bodied Hunter shiraz spectrum
Wine glass   Warm, dark berry fruits and brooding intensity, with relatively firm savoury tannins
Clock   Drink now to 2026+
  This wine just screams out for a well cooked steak….

2013 Good spring rain, a relatively warm summer with a couple of late vintage downpours. An exceptional vintage for semillon, and very good shiraz NOT MADE
2012 Very cool growing season with some relatively challenging summer rainfall. A difficult ripening year, particularly for shiraz NOT MADE
2011 Awesome. The Hunter largely missed the unstable weather that hampered the rest of Australia. Relatively ripe semillon and beautifully structured shiraz. NOT MADE
2010 Warm dry conditions led to a low cropping, early ripening vintage. Earlier drinking semillon and nicely balanced shiraz. screwcap 2022
2009 Above average spring rainfall led to higher yields. Riper semillon year and perfectly structured, long living shiraz. screwcap 2029+
