This wine is a unique blend of shiraz from two regions: Hunter Valley (55%) and McLaren Vale (45%). The two components are fermented separately, but then blended together soon after pressing, and matured in premium quality barriques for almost two years. During this time, the penetrating spice and savoury structure of the Hunter Valley shiraz merges with the rich, plum like fruit and fleshy texture of the McLaren Vale, resulting in a seamless, seductive and dangerously drinkable style.
